French DYS Federation (FFDYS)

FFDYS

“The FFDys federates all the associations supporting people with “dys” disorders, to act as a single voice before the public authorities.
To ensure that children and adults receive the right care, we are campaigning for a national strategy for specific language and learning disorders to be put in place by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education. The aim is to train health and education professionals.” Nathalie Groh, President of the French Dys Federation.

As part of its collaboration with Heloa, the FFDYS supported Heloa on :

1.the creation of questionnaires for children aged 0 to 7 on the themes of language development and fine motor skills.

2. The availability of DYS experts to answer the following questions:

  • how to help parents spot their child’s first signs?
  • how can we provide them with relevant advice?
  • how can we guide them to the relevant networks in their area?

3. The aim of this collaboration is to advance research into the early identification of children with developmental discrepancies in France. This research program, led by the Heloa teams, will directly benefit parents using Heloa.

Specialized in developmental assessment, Imaba collaborates with Heloa to help parents spot and detect developmental discrepancies for better care.

This player contributes in two ways:

  • By providing parents with reading keys on neurodevelopment, with advice and in-depth articles, available in the Heloa application.
By offering assessments of neurodevelopmental discrepancies by videoconference when necessary from Heloa, so that children with neurodevelopmental discrepancies (e.g. DYS children) can be taken into care as early as possible.
