In 2023, the definition and composition of the family will be plural: blended, single-parent, hetero-parent or homo-parent.
At the same time, the family pattern is no longer like it was 30 years ago, when a couple of parents and their children lived close to grandparents, uncles and aunts.
Our society has evolved and the family has become nuclear.
All responsibility for the family load is now borne solely by the parents.

In a society in the throes of change and in search of meaning, parenthood is no easy task for mothers and fathers alike. The number of single-parent families continues to rise, making the health and well-being of single parents vulnerable.

Homoparental families are an under-supported group that deserves equal support in parenting, especially in the workplace.
